The Original Watsonia Fish and Chips

I’ve just recently started going here, I’m not disappointed. The staff are lovely the fish is exceptional and the rest is great. Give this place a try.

This is one of the regular fish and chip places that I visit and is usually pretty good. Unfortunately, our order last night of flake last night was very disappointing, the fish was so dry and inedible. The rest of the food including potato cakes and dim dim were good. We ordered 2 battered scallops which were tough and overcooked. I may have to give this shop a rest for now.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Wastonia Fish & Chips! From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made me feel welcome. The fish was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. The chips were golden and delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. I also appreciated the variety of sauces to complement the meal. Everything was served hot and fresh. The atmosphere was Excellent and the service was fast and efficient. Highly recommend Wastonia Fish & Chips for anyone craving authentic, high-quality fish and chips! I’ll definitely be returning. Five stars all the way!

Their chips can be the best of your life - crispy and golden brown, or more than likely, the worst - white soggy mush. I always order a potato cake, they always give me 2, one fresh, one old. The old one is always inedible. Was waiting for some consistency before reviewing but it's getting consistently worse. - Big improvements last couple weeks, Potato cakes have been SPOT ON! Updated my review - Been back a few times now and although I haven't come back during peak times, I've updated my review to 5 stars based on the consistency, potato cakes are CRAZY now wtf!

Flake was nice, so was the blue grenadier. I don't know what they did to the potato cakes, but they were delicious.
